Our Current Africa Team |
Hi from Uganda!! We’ve just finished the first day here, and already are overwhelmed with what we’ve seen and experienced today. Our very full day started early with breakfast and our first team meeting. From the guest house, we headed off to the New Creation School for Sudanese refugee children. Sudan has been in a prolonged civil war, and hundreds of thousands of people have died in the the ongoing fighting. As a result, many thousands of Sudanese have fled South into Uganda. It has overwhelmed the Uganda government, so the officials have placed many of the refugees in camps, which are very difficult places for these folks.
New creation School – Sudan Refugee Children |
To provide a place for these dear children to get an education, a wonderful organization called ‘Loving One By One’ has established a great school for them. The children worshipped, sang, and shared testimonies with us. One highlight of the time was their presentation of several Sudanese Tribal Dances. What an amazing difference Sherry and her dedicated staff are making in the lives of these Kids. We’ve included several photos and a couple of video clips of our time at New Creation School.
