Education for Orphans

Worldwide

Try to imagine you are living on $2 a day, you are lucky because you have a personal farm, providing food for your family!  Everyone helps to keep the crops growing. You are helpless to provide for the dreams you have for your children. Education is not free: There are costs for uniforms, books, paper, supplies, exams, and a school tax that covers one day of education per week. Money you simply do not have.

Now imagine you are an orphan. You have no family. You might be the father figure to your siblings, you might be in a state institution. Regardless, you are nearly 18. There are no dreams of University for you. Soon you will be on the streets struggling to survive. Aging out of the system, you will be left to fend for yourself, probably winding up on the streets, destitute.

Our Education for Orphans College Fund is meeting these needs.

Through this program, we breaking the cycle of poverty by allowing young adults who have “aged out” of the system to have an opportunity to go to college. For many of them, they are the first in their family ever to do so. By providing them with these four years of education, our Education for Orphans fund is helping them break free from poverty. These students are learning valuable skills enabling them to get well-paying jobs and preparing them for their future.
