Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Around the world, millions of orphaned and vulnerable children are denied that opportunity due to poverty, displacement, or the absence of parental support. At Streams of Mercy, we are working to change that story.
Breaking the Cycle Through Education
Education is one of the most powerful tools to break the cycle of poverty. That’s why our Education for Orphans program focuses on providing access to quality learning opportunities for orphaned and vulnerable children in some of the world’s most underserved regions.
Across Uganda, India, and other parts of Africa, Asia, and the Americas, we support schools, vocational training centers, and scholarship programs that offer children more than just an education—they offer hope, stability, and the tools to build a better future.
How We're Making an Impact:
- Village Schools: In communities like Kyabato and Kangulumira in Uganda, we support rural schools that provide education to hundreds of children who would otherwise go without.
- Vocational Training: At St. Ameria Vocational School, students receive hands-on job skills training that prepares them for sustainable employment after graduation.
- Higher Education Support: We celebrate recent college graduates in Uganda who, through scholarships and long-term support, have been equipped to build stable, productive lives.
- Education Fund: Through the Streams of Mercy Education Fund, we help students who are aging out of orphan care pursue higher education or specialized training. This Fund is a strategic response to desperate educational needs across the homes we support.
A Future Worth Investing In
When you support the Education for Orphans program, you’re not just helping a child go to school. You’re investing in leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will shape their communities and our world.
Education breaks the chains of poverty. Please stand with us as we work to meet the ongoing needs in each of the homes we support.
