About Foster Family Farm

Mission

Foster Family Farm provides fresh food and economic sustainability for the Foster Family Network. Through 40 acres of farmland, the farm feeds the children, trains them in agriculture, and generates income to support foster families.

Programs and Activities

  • Sustainable Food Production: The farm grows a variety of fruits, vegetables, and grains, ensuring nutritious meals for the children in foster care.
  • Hydroponics & Aquaponics: The farm features innovative fish farming and soilless vegetable cultivation, maximizing food production while conserving water.
  • Vocational Training for Children: Young people in the Foster Family Network learn farming, business management, and sustainability practices to prepare for self-sufficiency.
  • Income-Generating Crops: Surplus produce is sold to local markets, creating revenue to support foster families and education programs.
  • Community Outreach: The farm partners with local farmers and agricultural experts, promoting sustainable farming practices in the region.

Community Impact

Foster Family Farm ensures that foster families have access to nutritious food while also providing economic stability and vocational training for future generations.

Support and Sustainability

Sustaining the farm requires funding for equipment, seeds, fertilizers, and infrastructure. Donations help expand farming operations and provide additional food security for the network.
