Mission
SIITA Nest School provides quality education to children in SIITA Nest Mother’s Love Home and the surrounding community. The school ensures that even the most vulnerable receive an education, spiritual guidance, and practical life skills to break the cycle of poverty.
Programs and Activities
- Primary & Nursery Education: Offering structured K-7 learning with 323 students enrolled.
- Vocational Training: Students gain hands-on skills in fashion design, electrical installation, hotel management, and nursing.
- Academic Excellence:
- 13 students passed their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
- 6 students completed their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
- 2 students sat for A-level exams to join university.
- Spiritual & Personal Growth: Weekly prayer sessions, debates, and counseling to build strong character.
- Life Skills & Discipleship: Siita Heart of the Community Program equips youth with essential skills while integrating Christian discipleship.
Community Impact
SIITA Nest School empowers children to reach their full potential, regardless of their background. Graduates have gone on to universities, vocational schools, and careers, proving that education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty and abandonment.
Support and Sustainability
Providing quality education to hundreds of children comes with its own set of challenges. Many students struggle to pay school fees, making it difficult to cover staff salaries and operational costs. Limited classroom furniture forces children to share tight spaces, and the school lacks essential learning resources like a computer lab and library. Frequent breakdowns of the school van also create transportation difficulties for students. However, through continued support, SIITA Nest School remains a place of hope, equipping children with the education and skills they need for a better future.
