Saturday we loaded up in the bus and headed back to the R&R; house where we painted several rooms with a paint “wash”. The staff at the home do this wash several times a year, so it was a great way to lend a hand. The best part of the day was that the kids were home from school, so we were able to spend more time playing with them and loving on them. What a great way to end our time in India.
After a wonderful Indian meal, prepared by Daisy, we headed back to get showers and had one last team meeting. Each person shared how this time made a lasting impression on their hearts.
As we drove to the airport, we had one more wild adventure in stop & go traffic–aaahhh–but we made it on time thanks to our fantastic driver Solomon. We arrived at the Chennai airport definitely tired, but with a belief that we had accomplished what we set out to do…to make a difference in the lives of orphans.
