They are such beautiful children, and their lives are stories of tragedy, AIDS and redemption. On the outskirts of Chennai, India, is the PACT AIDS home, which is home to 10 kids that are HIV Positive. These kids are outcast in their society, yet they have come to a place where they receive love and care. This amazing ministry is led by a couple J.D. and Elizabeth Wilson. They are dedicating their lives to help AIDS victims and seeing the love of God transform the lives of those that have no hope. We gathered with the kids in the living room and asked them “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Mamota wants to be a doctor. When asked why she said “so I can give shots”. Divia wants to become a missionary so she can share Christ with everyone. Avandi wants to become a teacher and Lawrence wants to become a policeman. He giggled when he said he won’t catch the thieves, though. Surrender wants to be superman so he can rescue and help everyone.

We loved hearing their dreams, the dreams that are only possible by God’s grace and the love and care of the PACT orphanage. As we sat in a circle around them, Chennaiindiagroup1 344the children sang the song “God is so good”. As tears flooded our eyes, we joined them in a song of worship to a good and faithful God, one who loves these kids so much to give them a safe, clean place to grow up where they can get the medical care they need. In the 7 years they have housed these kids, they have not lost even one! God is so good!!
